Google Educators Groups are professional learning communities that provide a way for educators who are passionate about education and technology to meet like minded people to share, learn, and collaborate together. GEGs are independent communities of educators who inspire and empower each other to meet the needs of students through technology, both in the classroom and beyond.
GEGs provide a space to:
Share ideas and best practices for using technology tools in the classroom.
Collaborate together on projects.
Support each other in integrating technology into their teaching.
GEGs can be local, regional, or even global, and they meet both in person and online. They are a great way for educators to connect with like-minded colleagues and learn from each other.
While GEG might stand for Google Educators Group, these groups need not focus solely on Google technologies. Although Google certainly creates some amazing technologies for schools, there are many interesting tech tools out there.
Google helps support this group, but does not put limits on what we share.
